Diamond Lakes Federal Credit Union is celebrating 60 years of sparkle with their 60th Diamond Anniversary celebration that features monthly drawings for $60 gift cards and a diamond necklace grand prize drawing in October. “Sixty years ago, our credit union was started by a small group of people dedicated to working together through the spirit of cooperation,” explains President/CEO Tammy Passafiume. “On May 12, 1960, seven employees of the Jones Mills Reynolds Reduction Plant saw a need for cooperative financial services. They pooled their money, $5 each, and started our credit union with $35.” “While many things have changed over the years,” says Passafiume, “we are still dedicated to serving our members, who are also our owners, as a not for profit financial cooperative. Our tagline, People, Passion, Purpose, keeps our focus in front of our staff and members on a daily basis. We’ve been dedicated to the people, our members and our community, for 60 years with a passion for helping build a solid financial foundation for the purpose of a secure and bright future for individuals and their families.” With traditional financial services such as checking accounts, debit cards, savings accounts, certificates of deposit, IRAs, online banking and mobile app, the credit union focuses on low- to no-cost services designed to provide value and reliability in a fast-paced technologically driven world.
