2018 Large Business of the Year

Window Mart’s mission is “to make the best custom-made window at the highest quality level and lowest reasonable priced unit on the market and offer our customers the best service in the industry.” The company also has a vision to be the premier employer in Garland County by offering the best wages, benefits and most enjoyable place to work for their employees. To Window Mart, employees are like family.

Window Mart’s mission and vision have played a big role in the company’s success, which in turn has enhanced the company’s ability to be a significant philanthropist in the Hot Springs community.

The windows and doors manufacturer was named the 2018 Large Business of the Year at The Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Banquet last January.

“I think the community service award and giving back to our community speaks to who Window Mart truly is and the heart behind our company,” President Robert Tankersley said.  “It was a great honor for us to win the award and we take great pride in that.”

Community service and giving back is a top priority of Window Mart. The 2018 Large Business of the Year donated more than $125,000 in money and product to organizations in Garland County in 2018 alone.

Throughout 2018 Window Mart employees also volunteered their personal time as school board members, parent teacher organization members, and coaches for various sports teams. Window Mart also had a large presence for the Garland County Habitat for Humanity’s Heels to Hammers event. The window manufacture is proud to be a 22-year partner with the charitable home-building organization. In 2018, the company also helped raise $33,000 for 12 area non-profits including Restore Hope Alliance, Susan G. Komen, Habitat for Humanity, the Baron’s Ball, The Spa City Running Festival and St. Luke’s Episcopal School.

“We at Window Mart feel a responsibility to give back to the community and understand that is part of our stewardship of not just running a company, but being part of a community that has needs,” Tankersley said. “God has blessed our companies with growth and success and our hope is to help make life better for our employees and the community that we live in.”

Window Mart has also provided more than $100,000 in educational scholarships to its employees and direct family members of employees over the last two and half years.

The company also proudly displays “Made in America” and was awarded the Governor’s Quality Award.

Window Mart began manufacturing windows in Royal in 1996 and was founded to supply product to its retail division, Windows USA. It underwent several changes until January 2012, when Tankersley, Eric Oliver, Ryan Guthrie and Mike Allbritton purchased the company from its original owner. Tankersley directs the work of the manufacturing portion (Window Mart), while Oliver, Guthrie and Allbritton direct the work of the retail side known as Windows USA.

Since January 2012 Window Mart has tripled their daily production, created 200 new jobs, and increased their annual payroll to more than $10 million. Sales continue to climb and Window Mart exceeded the $50 million mark in 2018, ranking it in the top 50 window and door manufacturers in the country. This increase is due to the hard work and dedication of the Window Mart employees.
