To mark the anniversary of this landmark holiday event, Lauray’s-the Diamond Center will be giving away five ½ carat diamonds this year. Traditionally, only four diamonds are given at this signature event. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased online at the Chamber’s web site, www.hotspringschamber.com, at the Chamber of Commerce or at Laurays-the Diamond Center. A limited number of tickets are available for purchase. The first 250 people to purchase a ticket will be entered into a drawing for a $500 shopping spree at Lauray’s-the Diamond Center and a winner will be announced at the event. In addition to the diamond giveaways, Lauray’s will also be awarding a lucky attendee with a $2000 shopping spree to be used this holiday season! Every attendee will be given at the entrance an additional golden ticket to be taken to Lauray’s after the event and a winner will be drawn from those tickets on December 18, 2019 at Lauray’s. A portion of the proceeds of each ticket purchased will go to the Project Hope Food Bank to help serve their mission this holiday season of providing healthy and affordable food to feeding programs and food pantries in West Central Arkansas. “As new owner of Lauray’s, I wanted to make sure that we let Hot Springs know that we have the same dedication to our community and to Project Hope Food Bank as in year’s past and by giving away a fifth diamond along with the shopping spree, I feel we will have accomplished this,” said Toddy Pitard, owner of Lauray’s. Included with each ticket is a signature drink, where inside the ice cube of the signature drink a ½ carat diamond or a ½ carat cubic zirconium will be placed. Once the ice cube has melted, jewelers from Lauray’s will be on hand to appraise each jewel. The Arlington’s Chef will prepare heavy hors d'oeuvres and there will be live entertainment by The Ohio Club Players. “We are excited again to announce that we will be giving a portion of the Ice on Ice proceeds to Project Hope Food Bank. This is an event that offers a great evening of fun while supporting a worthy local organization,” said Betsy Atkins, Greater Hot Springs Chamber Vice President.
