Chamber Announces New Vice President

Chamber Announces New Vice President

(Hot Springs, AR)  May 18, 2021 – The Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce announces the addition of Ashley Thompson to its staff. Thompson will fill the role of Vice President of the Chamber and is looking forward to serving the people of Hot Springs.

In this role Thompson will provide management and oversight to all Chamber programs including events, membership, revenue generation, personnel, facilities, as well as relationships with Chamber members.

“I’m thrilled for this opportunity to serve the business community in Hot Springs and Garland County,” Thompson said. “Growing up in Hot Springs with a family-owned business, as well as being a small business owner, I can relate to our members on a personal level to better support and advocate for them.”

“Ashley has been on our radar at the Chamber for some time. We have noticed the positive impact she has already made in our community and are excited for her to be joining our team. She will add a management and a businessowner’s perspective to the position, which should greatly benefit our valued Chamber members”, said Gary Troutman, President/CEO of the Chamber and the Hot Springs Metro Partnership.

Thompson owns The Practice Field sports facility with her husband, Rich Thompson, former MLB player and head coach of National Park College baseball. They have two children, Alfie and Livie.

Thompson comes to the Chamber from Ouachita Children, Youth, and Family Services where she served as the Resource Development Director and Prevention Program Coordinator.

A graduate of Hot Springs High School and the University of Central Arkansas, Thompson serves on the board of the Hot Springs Young Professionals. She is also co-chairs the Garland County Domestic Violence Task Force and is a Hot Springs National Park Rotarian.

The Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce is Hot Springs’ leading advocate and champion for business.
