Just in Time for Valentine’s Day, Ouachita Farms & Ouachita Chocolate Team Up for Cannabis Infused Chocolate January 21, 2021 - For Immediate Release Hot Springs area hemp operation, Ouachita Farms, has struck up another local edible partnership with Joel and Ali Rush at Ouachita Chocolate for a line of full spectrum CBD/THC infused chocolate, just in time for Valentine’s Day. After the successful ongoing partnership with another local food business, Will’s Cinnamon Shop, that spawned the ever popular Magic Brownies/Cookies, David Owen at Ouachita Farms says it made sense to partner with someone local when it came to infusing chocolate. “I like to work with local businesses that really create more of a craft product. What Joel and his family are doing with chocolate is really aligned with our values, they don’t take any shortcuts, quality in quality out, and you see it in the finished product.” Ouachita Farms is vertically integrated and uses a solventless method of extraction to create a wide range of infused products. Their retail store is the CBD Tasting Room located at 3958 Hwy 7 N, near the Hot Springs Village West Gate and about a half mile south of the rest of the operation. Ouachita Farms products can be purchased online and found at over 500 retail locations across the country. Ouachita Chocolate is a family business owned and operated by Joel and Ali Rush. They source the starting ingredients for their line of chocolate from Madagascar, Belize, and Ecuador, only organic sugar and cocoa butter is added after that. Not only is Ouachita Chocolate a staple around Hot Springs, but Joel Rush says a large portion of their customer base is buying because they create traditional chocolate without a lot of the extra ingredients found in industrial chocolate brands. “People are generally confused about what chocolate actually used to taste like before the large industrial producers got involved and turned it into a commodity. We make a simple product using the best cacao beans in the world because it tastes better and is better for you.” The chocolate created from this local partnership is initially available for purchase online from both businesses and you can have it shipped directly to your door.
